    Mike is right also , Dixie carried them also . There was a percussion model also that you could use to interchange with them .In an old BP mag there was an article how to tune one up and TOW used that as a selling point in the old catalogue .

    TOW sold them years back .With a little polishing are a snappy little lock . It was listed as a Barnett in thier old catalogue.Makes for a nice little southern rifle .

    Jerry Cunningham owned and operated Orion Rifle Barrel Co.until becoming ill and is no longer making barrels :( He was also known as Montana Rifle Barrel Co. before selling the buisness and later reopening as Orion. His barrels were top notch :thumbsup:

    Lock wont fall past halfcock.

    I have seen several that when tightened in place would have so little clearence below lip of sear where it engages tumbler the sear would hang on half cock.Steal some lipstick from your wife and smear the sear and see if this could be the case .

    Re-sizing a barrel.

    Minimal cuts and plenty of coolant and warpage shouldnt be a problem. Have you given any thoughts to a tapered barrel like 7/8" to 3/4" ? Makes for a light well balanced long gun.
