finished a Christian Springs/Edward Marshall last fall and didn't put a nose cap on it. working on a Lancaster/Golden age rifle now and i'm not putting one on it. I don't like the look near as well as just the shaped wood.

exactly the same here. once i find what works the best, i order 500 or 1000 from oxyoke. I have even called them and had them check the material for thickness to make sure I get the same that I have.

i'm working on a rifle right now that is set up that way in .36 cal. 3/8 hole and using 5/16 thimbles and ramrod. when finished, I think it will look fine. it is funny that everyone is offering their stocks that way.

I have two. one is a .32 cal XX and is extremely accurate. the other is a .45 cal and shoots well, but I have not shot it much. i'm happy with both.
